Lotus
Esprit Series 1. Painted in Monaco White with its original Wolf Race
Wheels, this car was restored 2009. The car was purchased for Danny
Bahar the CEO of Lotus to use while designing the new Esprit that never
came to light. It has since been maintained regardless of cost.
The car benefits from a Lotus replacement galvanised chassis,
aluminium fuel tanks and header tank, new fuel lines, Protech aluminium
adjustable shock absorbers all round, new gear linkage, rebuilt
carburettors, more robust 2.2 engine block (yet still looks like the
original), new door beams, new uprated door hinges, new door window
motors, new oil cooler and pipes. The gearbox has been rebuilt with all
new bearings. It has a full stainless exhaust that sounds great and pops
lovely on over run, new wheel bearings, reconditioned headlamp lift
motors and new engine mounts. This car has only covered 68k miles. It
turns heads, gets smiles and thumbs up everywhere it goes. The car was
manufactured in 1978 (326G) and will be tax and MOT free next year.
Underneath the car is tidy and well maintained, there are a few
blemishes in the paint work but still looks a car to be proud of.
The car has just had a 12 months MOT full service and cam belt ,is
HPI Clear and everything works, it’s fantastic to drive and with
so very few Series One Esprit’s surviving don’t miss out on this good
one. Any questions please ring Matt 07816666056
